Summary:

The Sector Vice President is responsible for the definition, planning, and implementation of account management strategies and activities in their assigned market sector, including customer relationship development, P&L balance sheets, and overall operations within the Aerospace & Defense sector. In addition, the Sector Vice President will also provide leadership and guidance to the internal cross-functional teams across the Company, to achieve maximum revenue growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of the Aerospace & Defense sector including P&L balance sheets, growth and customer satisfaction.
Work with team to develop deeper relationships with existing Aerospace & Defense OEM clients.
Work with the Finance Department to review P&L balance sheets, control budgets and meet financial objectives.
Manage commercial Aerospace & Defense clients on a global scale.
Negotiation of commercial contracts.
Define, develop, and lead execution of synergistic integrated Aerospace & Defense go-to-market strategy and management process that integrates Benchmark’s EMS and Engineering Solutions.
With respect to Aerospace & Defense, the Sector Vice President will be Benchmark’s thought leader and internal trusted and credible advisor communicating ideas and advocating sector direction, technology/capability investment and opportunity targets. Capturing breakthrough thinking about how to translate Benchmark’s entire capability into meaningful transformational business process value for clients.
Leading, mentoring, and coaching by example, the Sector Vice President will provide the rhythm and cadence of managing the day to day operations of a cross-functional team.
Managing, evaluating, and hiring key personnel to provide further potential to achieve desired sector growth.
Demonstrating charismatic leadership by mentoring, developing and training a cross-functional team.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of EMS work experience required
10 or more years of global business management & P&L experience.
Must have a strong technical understanding of OEM customer requirements and a deep understanding of the overall market, and the ability to keep up with industry changes/trends.
Prior commercial experience.
High degree of financial acumen.
High degree of business and financial acumen as well as sound decision making.
Experience creating strategies and business plans and in assessing market and business opportunities that have created results.
Strong understating of commercial contracts and negotiating skills.
Proven ability and track record of interfacing with and developing strong relationships with customers.
Demonstrated ability to successfully build relationship and influence senior level management, executives and key clients.
Position requires a reasonable amount of travel, 30% to 40% total travel required (10% of which will be international)
 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA preferred
